Edward LeRoy Fairbanks, Sr.

Edward LeRoy Fairbanks, Sr., age 50, of Minneapolis, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Richfield Health Care Center in Richfield, MN. Edward was born on June 27, 1962 at Red Lake, MN the son of Kenneth Beaulieu and Veronica Fairbanks.

Edward enjoyed fishing, reading, gambling, having drinks, telling stories, and playing cards. He especially liked playing cards with his niece Jasmine Sky. He kept her picture along with others by his bedside.

Edward was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, aunts; Margaret and Bonnie, and one uncle Anson Beaulieu.

He is survived by his daughter; Sunni Fairbanks-Pequette and her son; Edward Fairbanks Jr., both of Minneapolis, brothers; Tony Libby of Detroit Lakes, George Beaulieu of Pipestone, MN, and Kenneth Beaulieu, Jr. of Bemidji, MN, sisters; Shannon Jones of Olympia, WA, Laurine Beaulieu of Cass Lake, MN, Theresa Beaulieu of Bemidji, MN and Ida Beaulieu of Bemidji, MN, grandchildren; Anthony Columbus, Gabriella Johnson, Kaleb McDonald Fairbanks, Leilani Fairbanks and Avery Pequette.

A wake service for Edward will be from 12 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Church of Gichitwaa Kateri, 3045 Park Avenue, Mpls, MN and resume on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. The wake will continue until the 2 p.m. service on Friday also at the Vet’s Building. Interment will be held at the Sugar Bush Cemetery rural Bemidji following the service on Friday. Pallbearers will be Patrick Blue, Carl Fairbanks, Kenneth Beaulieu, Jr., Anthony Fairbanks, Charles Robinson, and George Beaulieu. Honorary pallbearers will be all his brothers and sisters.
