Mary Lynn Heinonen, age 36, of the Kingfisher Clan, travelled to the spirit world on Monday, April 29, 2024, in Red Lake, MN.

Mary was born on August 29, 1987, in Minneapolis, MN, to Kevin and Elaine (Dow) Heinonen. She made her home in Ponemah. Mary was an animal lover and had just brought home her new addition to the family, a puppy she named Marvin. She loved nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch with her pets and her family to watch a movie. Mary was a kind giving woman who was always willing to offer a helping hand to family and neighbors. Above all, Mary loved being a mom, and her three children were her pride and joy in life.

She will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Keith Jr., Riley and Ariyel Ehrich; mother, Elaine Heinonen; significant other, Dustin Johnson; siblings: Kevin Heinonen, Jr., Heather Heinonen, Tim Heinonen, Cystal Heinonen; Richard Heinonen; special aunts and uncles: Vivian Freeman, Vincent Dow, Irene Weiss, Spencer Whitefeather, James Dow; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Those greeting Mary in the spirit world are: her father, Kevin Heinonen; maternal grandparents: Eugene and Ruth Dow; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Heinonen; uncle, Donald Dow.

A traditional wake will begin at 11AM on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at 10AM on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Active pallbearers will be: Keith Ehrich, Riley Ehrich, Eric Whitefeather, Seneca Whitefeather, Kevin Heinonen Jr., Tim Heinonen, Richard Heinonen and Carter Dow. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ariyel Ehrich, Vivian Freeman, Heather Heinonen, Crystal Heinonen, Debra Stout, Marissa Robertson, Brenda Smith and Stephanie Coyle. Burial will be at the Whitefeather Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker & Hackensack, MN.
