Duane James "DJ" Neadeau, Makadewaanakwad "Black Cloud", Bullhead Clan, age 57, of Red Lake, MN travelled to the spirit world on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Bemidji, MN.

Duane was born on November 6, 1966, in Red Lake, MN to Geraldine Neadeau and Gerald Needham. He grew up in Red Lake and worked for the Fisheries. Duane was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in the woods. He loved riding his motorcycle and travelling. He was protective of those he loved and looked forward to spending time with his children, grandchildren and family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Tracey Cook, Kimberly Neadeau, Rose Neadeau, Edyn Drouillard, Aeryn Drouillard, Stephan May; grandchildren: Jada May, Justice May Jr., Kevin Neadeau, Lazhuri Gibson-Williams, Josiah Neadeau; siblings: Marla Needham, Gerald Needham, Ramona Needham, Janette Needham; aunts: Allura May, Mary Ellen Cook; uncles: Leon Neadeau, Fabian "Nickel" Cook; special sisters: Janet Neadeau, Diana May, Valerie May, Lylah May; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are: his parents; daughter, Susan Neadeau; wife, Michelle May; step-son, James Drouillard IV, siblings: Vickie Neadeau, Donald Cook Jr., Lisa Marie Cook; grandparents: James and Katie Neadeau and Adelle and James Needham; special aunt, Melinda May; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and relatives.

The wake will begin at 1PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Little Rock Community Center and continue until the service at 10AM on Friday, May 3, 2024. Active pallbearers will be: Marcus Neadeau Sr., Ralph Thunder, Robert "B Guy" May, Shawn May, Jeff Cook, Cody Cook, Rick Smith and Lee Neadeau. Honorary pallbearers will be: John Jourdain, Clem May Sr., Gerald May Jr., Kara Cook, Justina Smith, Rosalind Kingbird, Tom Drift, Tom Loons, Maurice Goggleye, Lydell Cook, Tierra Cook, Dylan Cook, Trevor Lussier, Ryan Neadeau Sr., Natausha Smith, Shalena Wood, Paris Wood, Rashawd Wood, Jashawn Wood, Linda Lussier, Ruth Neadeau, Mary Beth Neadeau, Patricia Neadeau, Ramon Sayers, Craig Sayers, Laurie May, Jordan Kingbird, Kimberly Cook and Craig Roy Jr. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Red Lake.
