Clinton James Donnell, Jr., age 24, of the Bear Clan, travelled to the spirit world on Monday, July 31, 2023, in Red Lake, MN.

Clinton was born on August 17, 1998, in Bemidji, MN, to Dawn Waybenais and Clinton Donnell, Sr. He attended school in Red Lake and Voyageur Expeditionary School. He worked as a security guard at Seven Clans Casino Hotel & Indoor Waterpark. Clinton enjoyed listening to music. Juice Wrld was his favorite artist. He loved spending time with family and was always with Jackson and Julian. He enjoyed hunting with his dad and going on rides with his friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents: Clinton Donnell, Sr. and Dawn Waybenais; brothers: John Downwind and Ronald Donnell of Redby; sisters: Erin Brun of Red Lake, Alyssa, Destiny, Lachel, Ashlyn and Marissa Perkins of Red Lake and Denali and Destiny Donnell of Redby; paternal grandparents: Jean and Herman Donnell, who raised him; maternal grandmother, Debbie Waybenais; aunts: Janeen Donnell, Leatrice, Devonna and Michelle Waybenais; uncles: Justin Donnell and Albert Stately, Jr.; special nephews: Jackson and Julian; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are his sisters: Briana and Bethany Perkins; maternal grandfather, Albert Stately, Sr.; paternal great grandmother, Viola Cournoyer; uncle, Shane Waybenais; and cousins: Brian and Rodney Cournoyer.

A traditional wake will begin at 3PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Redby Community Center and continue until the service on Monday, August 7, 2023, with Ty Stately as spiritual leader. Active casketbearers will be: Ricky Jackson, Tony Hill, Jr., Marcus Schoenborn, Cole Cobenais, Sam White, Lamont White and Stanley Robinson. Honorary casketbearers will be: Xavier Sayers, Hunter Beaulieu, Hunter Stately, Tom May, Trent Whitefeather, Chase Cobenais, Stanley Donnell, Cassandra Donnell, Kelsey Donnell, Courtney Donnell, Lashonda Brun, Nicole Robinson and Erin Brun.
