Susan Gagnon, 74, of Rice Lake, Minnesota died on May 17, 2022 at the Sanford Bagley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Phillip's Episcopal Church in Rice Lake, Minnesota. A wake will begin the evening before on Monday, May 23, 2022 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Phillip's Episcopal Church and continue until the time of the service. Interment will be held at St. Phillip's Episcopal Cemetery. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Susan was born on October 19, 1947 in Bismarck, ND to Joseph and Christine (Ireland) Longchase. She was raised and educated in Standing Rock, ND until she was 18 when she moved to St. Paul, MN with family. While living in the cities, she met and fell in love with Dennis Gagnon. On April 1, 1977, the two were married and they shortly moved to Rice Lake, Minnesota, south of Bagley. Over the years, Susan worked at Abbot Northwestern and Shooting Star Casino, but her greatest job of all was being a mom. She took care of a lot of people through out her life. She was kindhearted and strong. Susan was very outspoken, and she was never scared to speak her piece. She loved going to the Casino any chance she got. She lived in the moment and will be missed.

She is survived by her children, Tanya Gagnon and Dennis (Heidi Goodwin) Gagnon Jr.; her granddaughters, Samara Cloud, Destani Cloud, Infinity Gagnon, Mary, Scott, Tabby, Tia, Randy, Rani, Tyrone, Jr. Douglas, Taya, William, Jr., and Anais; her nephew and niece that they raised, William Longchase and Connie Longchase; Dennis "Buffy" Buse; her brother, Henry Longchase; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Christine Longchase; her husband, Dennis Gagnon, Sr.; her siblings, Paul Longchase, Kathy Longchase, Theola Longchase, Douglas Longchase, and Thelma Longchase; and her son, Tyrone Longchase.
