MINNEAPOLIS — A Red Lake man was sentenced Thursday for assaulting a woman with a shotgun. Brian Gordon Graves, 35, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Donovan Frank to 21 months in federal prison on one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of domestic assault by a habitual offender, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice. David Brown, Tishomingo resident and former Lt. Governor of the Chickasaw Nation, died late Thursday, June 6 at the age of 70. David Brown was born to Mattie Brown at Chilocco Indian School June 20, 1942. He grew up in the Tishomingo, Okla. area and graduated from Ravia High School. Brown served as Lt. More than 1,200 dentists, oral surgeons, hygienists and other volunteers will take over the Sanford Center today and Saturday in an effort to provide $1 million in dental care to patients who cannot afford it.
