Valentine "Moose" Matthew Solis, Jr.

May 18, 1969 ~ December 30, 2023 (age 54)

Valentine "Moose" Matthew Solis Jr., "Manidoo Oshkababaawass" meaning "Spirit Helper", of the Eagle Clan of St. Paul MN, age 54, started his journey to the spirit world at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN., on Saturday, December 30th, 2023. He was born on May 18th, 1969, to Nancy, (Sayers) Solis and Valetine Solis Sr. in St. Paul, MN.

Valentine enjoyed going to Pow Wows all over this great nation and participating in the ceremonies.

He will always be remembered for his willingness to help, Valentine was always willing to jump in and help other people no matter what, he never said no. His great sense of humor will be missed by all. He was wise beyond his years, as well as very knowledgeable about many things.

Those greeting Valentine in the spirit world are his mother, Nancy Solis; Grandma Sarah Sayers; and many Aunties and Uncles.

Family that Valetine leaves behind are his son Dustin Solis; daughters Valencia Solis, and Rebecca Anderson; brothers Mark Solis Sr., Matthew Solis Sr. and Johnothan Solis; sisters Diana Solis, Teresa Solis, Zipora Solis, and Evelyn Solis; Antie Mary LeDeaux; adopted family Bayzhi Matrious and family.

A one night wake for Valentine will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday January 5th, 2024 and continue until his Saturday January 6th, 2024 10:00a.m. service, all to be held at the Onigum Center in Onigum, Minnesota. Valentine's Spiritual Advisor's will be Allen Hardy, and Brian Matrious. Those helping lay Valentine to rest are Tony LaDeaux, Michael Charwood, William Johnson Sr., Anthony Johnson, Andrew Johnson Jr., and Dustin Solis. Alternant pallbearers are Justin Solis, and Jeremiah Solis. Honorary pallbearers are all his family and friends. Valentines final resting place will be with his mother at Old Agency Catholic Cemetery, Onigum, Minnesota in the spring.
