Alvina "Kabeebs" Thompson

May 07, 1964 - August 14, 2021

Alvina Mary Thompson, 57 was born on May 7, 1964 to the late Lynda Alberts and Art Thompson in Devils Lake North Dakota. She began her journey to the Spirit World on August 14, 2021 in Fort Totten N.D. surrounded by her relatives.

Kabeebs attended Fort Totten School and continued her education at Little Hoop Community College. At a young age she enjoyed dancing traditional on the powwow trail and enjoyed her time at rodeos and through this path, she met several friends and later on they became her sisters. She was a Teacher's Assistance at Four Winds Elementary School, worked at Sioux Manufacturing Corporation and because of her love for cooing, returned to Four Winds as a cook in the kitchen. She gave plenty of her time to families as a Child Care Provider and enjoyed being around children.

She loved to spend time with her Grandma Kunsi and was given the name "Kabeebs" by her grandma. Alvina met Elmer White Jr. in the year of 1982 and came their oldest son Elmer lll. They were married on February 11, 1984 in Fort Totten N.D. With this marriage came 9 children.

Kabeebs was well known for her frybread, she took pride in cooking and providing for her children. She enjoyed taking time to sew something beautiful for her loved ones. She looked forward to playing the machines at the Casino. In 2002, she helped welcome her oldest grandson Kaston and raised him as her own and later on welcomed Braxton. Kabeebs spent a lot time with her sisters and families. She cherished her time with all of her grandchildren and held close to her heart her granddaughter Khloe.

Our hearts ache with such sadness. Our precious Mother, Grandmother and Sister has begun her journey to the Spirit World, we will forever love and miss her and she will be so greatly missed by all.
