COOK – RED LAKE
ELDERLY NUTRITION PROGRAM
OPEN: December 29, 2015

Primary Function:
Prepare and provide nutritious meals to the Elderly as well as ensuring a safe, clean and sanitary environment. Reports to Director, full-time position, w/benefits, salary; DOQ.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
• Responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals in meeting the daily food requirements for the Elderly
• Responsible for planning and preparing menus with the Head Cook and Dietician to ensure menus meet the RDA requirements
• Responsible for preparing, handling and serving food in a safe and sanitary manner
• Responsible for cleaning the dining area on a daily basis, i.e., washes tables and counter tops
• Participates in program planning and other activities as requested
• Performs others duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• GED/High School Diploma
• 3-6 months related experience and/or training-or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Traditional Foods preparation and cooking
• Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of proper techniques for food preparation and modified diets
• Must be a team player to follow explicit instructions
• Valid Minnesota Driver's License
• Current proof of insurance for personal vehicle
• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
