Francine Embertson

Francine Embertson age 72 of Minneapolis, MN journeyed to the spirit world on Oct 16th 2013.

Francine was born Jan 22nd 1941 in Redby, MN to Fannie Robertson and Dan Raincloud. An enrolled member of Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate. A graduate of Red Lake High School, Class of 1958. Retired from Honeywell after 35 years of employment.

Francine was a very fun, loving and caring person who always had words of encouragement at times when we needed it most. Also known for her bubbly personality and her contagious laugh. An avid league bowler in her younger years . Enjoyed playing slots at the casino. But she most enjoyed spending time visiting with her family and friends. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Preceded in death by late husband: George Embertson ; Parents: Fannie Robertson and Dan RainCloud ; Brothers: Charles Robertson Sr, Robert “Sonny Man” Robertson, George Robertson ; Sisters: Ona Kingbird, Criscynthia Robertson; five nephews and three nieces.

Survived by Husband: John Maher Sr ; Brother: Frank (Georgette) Robertson ; Sisters: Mousey Armstrong, Rosalyn (Vince) Keahna, Betty Strong ; Children: Rick Embertson, Randy (Barb) Embertson, Jan Hinkle, John Maher Jr, Damian Martin, Greg Maher, Lora (Jeremy) Loch, and 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren; Aunt: Florine Lafournaise.

Visitation with an all night wake will begin at 4pm Sunday Oct. 20th, 2013 at the Minneapolis American Indian Center 1530 E. Franklin Ave. Mpls, MN 55404 and continue until the funeral service.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 21st, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at The Minneapolis American Indian Center. John Roberson and Johnson Loud will officiate.

Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetary.
