Carol Holland

Carol Jean (Holstein) Holland was called home by the Lord at North Chicago, Illinois on October 2, 2013 with her sons, daughter and husband by her side.

Carol was born to George and Juanita Holstein on May 14, 1948 at Red Lake, Minnesota. Carol graduated from Red Lake High School in 1966. Following graduation Carol enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon her discharge from the Army Carol worked for the Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago for many years.

Carol is survived by her husband of 43 years, Reverend Preston Holland, sons Vince, Val and Gerard, daughter Cynthia, brothers George and Wally Holstein of Red Lake, sisters June Holstein and Florine Prentice of Red Lake, Karen Bedeau of Bemidji, Ann (Herb) Thunder of Walker, aunt Vivian Lawrence of Redby, uncle Ellsworth Berrard of Red Lake, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws from Illinois, Florida and Tennessee. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of her Her Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 12, 2013 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Waukegan, Illinois with Rev. Jimmie Johnson and Pastor John Nabors officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 noon in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois on October 14, 2013.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home in Waukegan, Ill.
