Kenneth William “Boy” Rainey Jr., 61, of Red Lake, MN died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Red Lake Hospital.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Red Lake. A wake will begin 1:00 p.m., Wed. May 9, 2012 at Red Lake Community Cemetery. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary bearers, Sam Rainey, Joe Rainey, Robin Lussier, Ivan Lussier, Steve Beaulieu, Shannon Rainey, Lusia Garcia, Mike O’Neil, Sunny Drouillard, Mary Beth Bellanger and all his family incarcerated.

Casket bearers, Justin Hanson, Kenny “Brother” Hanson, Steve Rainey, Marcus Rainey, Brandon Neadeau, Myron Rainey, Fred Shingobe and Jose Garcia Jr.

Kenneth William Rainey Jr. was born Dec. 29, 1950 in Red Lake, MN to Kenneth Sr. and Angie (Barrett) Rainey. He attended school at Red Lake High School. He enjoyed pow wow’s, listening to music, watching TV, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, social gatherings, cruising and visiting on the phone.

He is survived by his sons, Robin “Fatman” (Betty) Hanson and Gary Hanson; daughters, Sherry (Alfredo) Hanson, Karen Lynn Hanson and Wyona “Girl” (Jose Sr.) Mountain; sisters, Judy Barrett, Doreen (Mario) Perez, Debbie Rainey, Janet (Syd) Pendleton, Joan (Bruce) Sonneberg and Elaine Rainey; brothers, Earl “Sam” (Cindy) Rainey Sr., Myron Rainey and Joe (Lo) Rainey; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Rainey Sr. and Lucille “Angie” Rainey; special friend and mother of his children, Dorene “Cooky” Hanson; 2 sisters, Diane & Josephine “Bubbles” Rainey; 2 brothers, Stewart “Horse” & Harold Rainey; 2 sons, Robert “Skinnyman” Hanson Sr. and Marcel Rainey; great grandson, Robin Lee Lussier Jr. and granddaughter, Mercedes Doreen Rainey.
