    Minnesotans on Tuesday re-elected incumbent Amy Klobuchar to the U.S. Senate but the latest vote results have yet to determine whether incumbent Tina Smith or challenger Karin Housley will complete the term that Al Franken did not finish. The special election pitting Smith against state Sen. Housley is more competitive.     U.S. Rep. Tim Walz was elected governor of Minnesota, defeating Republican Jeff Johnson to extend DFL control of the governor's mansion for a third term. Johnson, a Hennepin County commissioner, promised to take the state in a new direction, bringing policies that would align Minnesota with its more conservative neighboring states.
