BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Police Department has issued a notification that a level three sex offender will be moving to the 300 block of Irvine Avenue in Bemidji. Michael Warren Smith, 28, has a history of engaging in sexual contact with male and female victims ages 2-5. Smith's contact included fondling and penetration, and he was known to his victims. On 5/28/14 at approximately 11:30 PM the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a residence on North Plantagenet Rd. SW, reporting that somebody had shot their house.
