On Thursday, April 23, 2015, the Red Lake Girls Softball Team hosted Nevis in a game that was originally scheduled for April 7, 2015, but had to be postponed due to the weather. The girls led at one point 10-7, but a strong comeback by Nevis gave them the victory, 22-11. Red Lake's JV Girls Softball Team also lost to Nevis. The Red Lake Warriors Baseball Team had their home opener on Thursday, April 9, 2015, losing to the Blackduck Drakes. Red Lake's Junior High Team also fell to Blackduck. A 911 call at 5:23 AM on Monday, April 13, 2015 reported that the Blackduck Trestle, also known as the M & I Trestle and areas of the swamp surrounding it were burning. The Trestle is located on the east side of the City of Blackduck.
