Three suspects in last week's rash of burglaries in Beltrami County were arrested on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Clearwater Deputies responded to a residential burglary early Saturday morning. Witnesses described a Toyota Tundra pickup leaving the scene which matched the description of a vehicle used in several burglaries in Beltrami and Cass Counties. On December 31, 2013, New Years Eve, the Annual New Years Eve Gathering was held at the Red Lake Humanities Center. Facing -24 F. weather, about 300 people showed up for the event which began with a feast of Red Lake walleye and perch at 5 PM, followed by the pow wow grand entry at 7 pm, with drawings for door prizes, dance and food contests and some great entertainment throughout the night.
