Chief Greeting "Gus" Spears Family - Thank You

Boozhoo,

Akina Awiiyaa. First of all we would like to apologize for taking so long to express our gratitude. The family of Greeting "Gus" Spears would like to give a big Chi-Miigwech to everyone. Whether you helped cook, clean, watch fire, sent a card, gave a hug, sat with us, shared stories, offered condolence and/or donated! All your support was noticed and cherished. Your kindness and generosity were appreciated.

We would like to thank the following: Red Lake impatient for all your wonderful care, your kindness, patience and understanding. We will always love you for that. Chairman Seki and Red Lake Tribal Council, New Beginnings, Red Lake Casino {your food was delicious}, Whispering Pines Funeral Home of Walker/Hackensack, Bemidji Woolen Mills and Ponemah/Red Lake Trading Post. Special thanks to Bobby Whitefeather for your words of wisdom and sharing your stories. To Charlie Johnson and your fellow bikers for the amazing escort. To Carter Dow for your donation of deer meat. To Redby/Red Lake for the use of your tables and chairs, Al Pemberton and Bob Smith for all your help, Bruce, and Alex for checking if we needed anything and for checking if we were ok. To Tina Johnson for making Dads beautiful moccasins. To Allen Hardy for your words of wisdom and your teachings. To Martha and Doris for all your help. To Nate and Harvey and the rest of the drummers for the beautiful singing and drumming.

Thanks to his friends from Canada and the surrounding area for attending. Thanks to Bev and Gary Nelson for all your help. If we failed to mention anyone at this very challenging time, we did not mean to. We apologize for that. Our Dad Grandfather, and Chief of Ponemah will always be loved and never forgotten.

From The family of Chief Greeting Spears, we would like to say THANK YOU all so very much!
