Stuart Lee Sumner, age 62, Bear Clan, of Red Lake, MN, went to the spirit world from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Stuart was born in Red Lake, MN, on April 2, 1960, to Henry and Margaret (Hill) Sumner, Sr. He grew up in Red Lake and later moved to Minneapolis for several years before returning to Red Lake. He worked in construction for many years. He liked doing crafts, reading, going to the casino and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his aunt Jonie, his children, grandchildren, his sister, Thelma, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family that he leaves behind are his daughters: Leanne Pacheco of Red Lake and Katie Cobenais of Minneapolis; sons: Maurice Cobenais of Red Lake and Darren Cobenais of Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Thelma May; his very special aunt, Jonie Neadeau and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family that Stuart is reunited with are his parents, Henry and Margaret Sumner, Sr .; brothers: Henry Jr. and Leonard; sisters: Karen and Ramona; daughter, Samira Sumner; grandson, Simon Pacheco; grandparents: Simon and Angeline Sumner and Thomas and Katie Hill; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the New Little Rock Center and continue until the service on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Zac Earley will be the spiritual leader. Active casketbearers will be: Keith Sumner, Henry Hill, Richard Sumner, Jr., Derek Beaulieu, Tim Sumner, Vincent May and Ethan May. Honorary casketbearers will be: Tony Hill, Sam Hill, Frank Barrett, Darryl Maxwell, Nicholas Sumner, James Beaulieu, Pam May, Melanie Sumner, Missy Beaulieu, Rita Beaulieu and Candace LaGou.
