James John Littlewolf, Sr.

December 8, 1947 ~ January 14, 2022 (age 74)

James John Littlewolf, Sr., of Bagley, Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on Friday, January 14th, 2022, from the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

He was born the son of Catherine (Martin) and Joseph Littlewolf on Monday, December 8, 1947, in Cass Lake, MN where he grew up and attended school. After graduating from the Cass Lake-Bena High School, James enlisted in the United States Army and served his tour of duty in Vietnam from 1967-1969. After being honorably discharged, James returned to the Cass Lake area and attended Northwest Technical College in Bemidji and later obtained his boiler license. Some of his favorite things to do were fishing, hunting, gambling, family outings with his grandchildren and hanging out with his sisters. James was very proud of his son James Jr. for completing his education and becoming a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. James lived his life to the fullest and most definitely will be missed.

Welcoming James to the spirit world are his parents; Catherine and Joseph, sisters; Elizabeth, Emma and Ruth, brothers; Ted and John, grandsons; Jayden and Jordan, great granddaughter, Niibin and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Those left behind to carry on his legacy are his children; James "Beaver" (Kathy) Littlewolf, Jr. of Bemidji, Toni Littlewolf of Cass Lake, Jessica Fredenburg of Bemidji, Chad and Brad Goudy of Washington, his wife; Carla Littlewolf, significant other; Cheryl Littlewolf, sisters; Susan Jenkins, Marilyn Littlewolf and Mary Bellanger, 23 grandchildren, 32 and 1 on the way great grandchildren, mother of his children; Phyllis Day, several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Wake services for James will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20th and continue until his 1:00 p.m. traditional service on Saturday, January 22nd all to be held at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Allen Hardy and his helper Mike Bunker will be his Spiritual Advisors. Pallbearers for James will be Gary Littlewolf, Dennis Littlewolf, James Littlewolf, Justin Littlewolf, Nick Littlewolf, Matt Littlewolf, Allen Brown and Andy Johnson. His honorary pallbearers will be all his family and friends. Interment will be in the Leech Lake Veteran's Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following his Saturday services.
