John C. Little

John Clarence Little, 87 of Redby, MN died Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake with Fr. Jerry Rogers officiating. There will be a visitation from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. Interment will be at St. Mary's cemetery in Red Lake, MN.

He was born April 22, 1930 in Carlinville, IL the son of Doise L. Little and Eliza P. Lambert. He was a truck driver in Chicago; retiring in 1987 moving to Redby. He was a volunteer bus aide for 20 years. He had the gift of gab and had many friends. He had a true love of animals and loved to gamble, go to bingo, watch football and old western movies. He loved all the seasons.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine Little of Redby; 3 children, Desi (Jeanice) Little of Puposky, Shelly Little (King) of Redby, and Jay (Meredith) Little of Lyons, IL; 20 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren (soon to be 42).

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Scott, Mark and Niles, all of his siblings; son-in-law August "Knotty" King; 3 grandsons, Barry, Jed, and Matt and 2 great granddaughters.

Casketbearers will be Raymond Cloud, Johnathon Cloud, Stephen Cloud, Des "Izzy" Little, Jr., Dallas Little, Calvin Little, Kyle Little, Joshua Cloud and Michael Little.
