HEADWATERS SWAT TEAM ASSISTS BELTRAMI, CLEARWATER AND BCA INVESTIGATORS

On April 5th, 2017, the Headwaters SWAT Team was asked to assist in the apprehension of a suspect who was located in rural Clearwater County near Ebro by Beltrami County Investigators and BCA Agents. Police were investigating a stalking case which started at a residence in Northern Township north of Bemidji.

The suspect was located by investigators as a residence in rural Clearwater County but he initially refused to surrender to authorities but eventually gave up to law enforcement negotiators. No one was injured in the incident. The suspect was taken into custody and placed into jail at Clearwater County. No further details are being released at this time as this case remains under investigation.

Agencies participating in this case were Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Bemidji Police, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, MN State Patrol, White Earth Tribal Police, Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force, Headwaters SWAT Team and Roseau County Sheriff’s Office.
