RED ROCK, Okla. — Hundreds of people are without clean drinking water in a community just outside of Red Rock in northern Oklahoma.
On Sept. 23, the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality found high levels of silt and dirt from the Otoe-Missouria Tribe’s water plant that officials said could cause viruses if people drink it.
Tribal officials told KOCO 5 the high level of turbidity is a result of last month’s flooding in Kansas.
