August 16, 1937 - February 8, 2016

Alfred Raymond Fox 78 of the Rice Lake Community near Bagley, MN died on Monday, February 8, 2016 at his home north of Rice Lake.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake with Rev. Jackie Bernacchi officiating. A wake will begin on Thursday at 4:00 PM and continue until the hour of service at the center. Interment will be at the Samuel Memorial Episcopal Cemetery in NayTahWaush, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.

Alfred Raymond Fox was born August 16, 1937 in Beaulieu, MN the son of George and Louise Fox. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1956 and attended Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas for two years. He married Bernadine Thompson on January 20, 1963 in Rice Lake.

Alfred served as a District Representative on the White Earth Tribal Council and was active in Tribal affairs. Alfred enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood, gardening, feeding his birds especially humming birds and bird watching. During his lifetime here on earth he blessed us all by being a truly amazing dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, father-in-law and friend to many. His prescence will forever be missed by us all.

He is survived by his wife- Bernadine Fox of Rice Lake

Sons- Alfred (Evette) Fox of Bagley, MN

Henry (Mickie) Fox of Bagley, MN

Louis Fox of Bagley, MN

Dean Guinn of Red Lake, MN

Sister- Isabelle Thompson of Bagley, MN

Brothers- Richard (Lorraine) Fox of Bagley, MN

Louis (Leah) Fox of Bagley, MN

Earl Fox of Bagley, MN

Special grandchildren- Amber, Roshell, Sarah, and Darrell Fox

Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers- Ernest Fox, Joseph, Norman and George Auginash and Burdell LaRoque. Sisters- Eldora Fox, Susan Headbird, Dorothy Stevens, and three infant sisters- Carrie, Evelyn, and Irene Fox
