Homicide suspects who fled Colorado arrested in Cass County

CASS LAKE -- Two suspects who fled Colorado after the death of their 4-week-old daughter were apprehended without incident in Cass Lake on Monday.

According to a press release from Parachute, Colo., Police Chief Cary Parmenter, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Leech Lake Tribal Police Department arrested Matthew Ogden and Phyllis Wyatt at approximately 1:50 p.m.

Authorities in Minnesota received a tip on a possible location in the Cass Lake area, where law enforcement and officials from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension found Ogden and Wyatt inside a residence, the release said.
