Native Minnesota program at Bemidji Public Library

BEMIDJI - There is a Time Travel Minnesota Style event on Native Minnesota at 3:30 p.m. at the Bemidji Public Library today. The educational program will cover Native relations, culture, and natural environments. Kids will learn about different approaches to studying people and places in a time before written record, including Native American oral history and archeology. Kids will participate in activities using traditional technologies to create functional items from natural materials.

The event was listed incorrectly in today's print edition of The Pioneer as being hosted at The History Center. Nicole Foss from the History Center is presenting the workshop series, but all events in the series are held at the Bemidji Public Library.

Time Travel Minnesota Style is an afterschool program for students in grades 4 through 6. It is a series continuing every Tuesday for the next four weeks. For more information, contact the library at 751-3963.
