Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a yearly vaccine. Right now, there is moderate to high seasonal flu activity. Flu season usually begins in October and can last through May. It is not too late to get a Flu shot!!
High risk patients are a great concern for serious complications from flu.
High risk patients
• Pregnant women
• Children younger than 5
• People 50 years of age & older
• People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions (asthma, diabetes, etc.)
• People who live in long-term care facilities
• People who live or care for those at high risk for complications from flu (including health care workers)
