Angeline "Angie" Clark

Angeline “Angie” Clark, 79, of Bemidji, MN died, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Sanford Fargo Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Fr. Jerry Rogers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren.

Angeline Julia Clark was born February 9, 1933 in Red Lake, MN to George & Clara (Lussier) Clark. She attended school in Red Lake, St. Paul and Mpls., MN. She was active in education and community activities. She helped form the Upper Midwest American Indian Center and was still on their board. She was involved in starting STAIRS (Service to American Indian Resident Students), past president of the Minneapolis Public High-rises and made many trips to Washington, D.C. She worked for the Catholic school system and Minneapolis Public School system for 15 years. She just recently moved to Bemidji to be near her family. She enjoyed going to the casino and enjoyed doing roller derby in her younger days.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Thomas) Fairbanks of Cass Lake and Donna (Thomas) Mevissen of Andover, MN; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Clark of Bemidji; brother, George Clark of Minneapolis; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
