Diane “Lady Di” Kay Cook, 48, of Red Lake, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Red Lake Hospital in Red Lake.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Church in Red Lake, with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, and will continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Pallbearers will be Tyrone Schoenborn, Shane Garrigan, Kyle Garrigan, Stan Cook, Kevin Cook Jr., Darren Cook Sr., Dan Cook, Brandon Laducer, with alternates: Brian Crowe, Gerald Auginash, Donald Cook Jr., Irv Sayers, and Mike Crowe.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Ethel Auginash, Kay Pemberton, Eileen Sayers, Kristi Day, Annie Oakgrove, Neoka Donnell, with others as alternates.

She was born on October 26, 1962, in Red Lake, the daughter of Henry Cook and Anna Auginash. She graduated from Red Lake High School in 1981. Diane enjoyed spending time with friends and family, going to the casino, searching for eagles, watching television, and doing puzzles.

She is survived by her parents; children, Sheila (Wayne Fisher Sr.) Cook, Julieanne (Brandon Laducer) Cook and Daniel Cook Sr.; brothers, Wendell Cook, Richard (Mary Ann) Cook, Duane Cook and Kevin (Sharon) Cook; sisters, Carla Brun, Sharon Cook, and Donna Cook and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her four grandparents, three uncles, five aunts, a nephew and a niece.
