    This summer I was privileged to be a part of a team of 15 teachers and 3 EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) scientists on board the R/V Lake Guardian on Lake Superior for seven days collecting lake samples to be studied for water quality, plankton, and plastics.     Last week the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office requested the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle which was used in an assault in the Fourtown – Grygla area on August 24th 2011. The truck was a mid 1990’s green Dodge extended-cab belonging to the suspect Randy Thompson, who has been charged in the case.
