Simon Len Hill, 78, of Aitkin, passed away on April 9, 2015. Simon left on his journey to his after life at Minneapolis Veterans Administration Medical Center. He died peacefully in the arms of Claire Rousu Hill, who was his soul mate and wife of 56 years. The Red Lake Warriors Baseball Team had their home opener on Thursday, April 9, 2015, losing to the Blackduck Drakes. Red Lake's Junior High Team also fell to Blackduck. Red Lake is now 0-2 on the season, having lost to Laporte on Tuesday, 9-8. Red Lake will travel to Cass Lake on April 14th, Lake of the Woods on April 16th, and Northome/Keiliher on April 23rd.
