    SULPHUR, Okla. ¬– Quilts with intricate designs handcrafted and stitched by Chickasaw elders are among those on exhibit through March 31 at the Chickasaw Cultural Center. Some quilts were crafted by ancestors spanning generations, helping tell the story of a family's history.     A Florida police officer who accidentally shot to death a retired Twin Cities school librarian during a role-playing exercise last summer has been charged with a felony and the police chief is charged with a lesser offense, authorities announced. Punta Gorda officer Lee Coel was charged Wednesday in Charlotte County with felony manslaughter for firing the shot that killed 73-year-old Mary Knowlton during the academy’s “shoot/don’t shoot” exercise.     TAHLEQUAH, Okla. —The Cherokee Nation Tribal Council unanimously passed three resolutions authorizing the Marshal Service to donate a surplus vehicle to three law enforcement agencies on Tuesday. Law enforcement agencies receiving a donated vehicle include the Nowata Police Department, Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.     Nine pipeline protesters were arrested for trespassing by 5 p.m. Wednesday, following state evacuation orders of the Oceti Sakowin camp. The pipeline protest camp was filled with fire and ceremony throughout the day, including a walk, accompanied by singing and drumming, that emptied the camp of most of its occupants. It is estimated that 50 to 75 occupants of the camp remain.
