William Clifford Jones, Sr., "Manidoo-animikii Giizhigong" which means "Spirit Thunder in the Sky", 25 years young, of Cass Lake, Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from the Cass Lake IHS Hospital in Cass Lake, MN. William was born on February 14, 1993 in Bemidji, MN to Patrice (Beaulieu) and James Jones, Jr.

William attended Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig school and Cass Lake-Bena High School and graduated in 2011. He enjoyed beading, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and making birch bark canoes with his dad. William loved spending time with his family. He was taken from us far to soon and we will miss him deeply.

Family welcoming William to the spirit world are his maternal grandparents, auntie, uncles and a nephew.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his parents; Patti and Jim Jones, Jr. of Cass Lake, children; William Clifford Jones, Jr., Nicholas James Jones and Jazerae Renee Jones, sisters; Davina (Lonnie) Curry of Cass Lake, Rae'Dahn (Austin) Dailey of Northfield and Shayla Beaulieu of Bemidji, brothers; Brett (Joycelyn) Beaulieu of Bemidji, Drew (Alisha) Curry of Bemidji, Charles (Michelle) Jones of Cass Lake and James (Valerie) Jones of Cass Lake, paternal grandparents; Wanda "Quig" Jones and James (Della) Jones, Sr., great nephew; Zane Weyaus, numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

An overnight wake for William will begin at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 12th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Wednesday, June 13th all being held at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Waa-maajaa'iwed – Steve Jackson. Pallbearers for William will be Brett Beaulieu, Drew Curry, Charles Jones, James Jones, Austin Dailey and Andrew Jones. His honorary pallbearers are James Jones, Will Robinson, Shane Swanholm, Scott Swanholm, Jr., Daunte Curry and Chris Ellis. Interment will be in the Prince of Peace Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following his Wednesday service.
