(October 14, 1984 - November 15, 2014)

Lisa Dakota, age 30, of Bagley, MN, died on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Lisa Larene Dakota was born on October 14, 1984, the daughter of Ernest Hunt and Lori Dakota, in Minneapolis, MN. From her youth into adulthood, Lisa was able to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors by spending it in Northern Minnesota. Twelve years ago, Lisa met Bruce Auginash and together they have made a family. Spending time with family was important and, as a devoted mother, she loved being able to help raise six sons and one precious daughter. Lisa adored being in the Minnesota forests, especially hunting, fishing, and cutting boughs with Bruce. Together they liked to travel and often took trips to the Twin Cities to visit family. She had a wonderful outgoing spirit and enjoyed listening to music and hanging out with family and friends. Lisa was always willing to help anyone in need and gave her all to those she loved.

Lisa was very proud of her Native American ancestry and liked going on the pow wow trail. She was honored with the name Makadaa Miigwun Ekwe meaning Black Eagle Feather Woman.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Bruce Auginash of Bagley, MN; her mother, Lori Dakota of Bagley; one daughter, Sierra Nylund and six sons: Bruce, Brent, Bradley, Bryce, Brenden "Bob", and Brodie Auginash all at home in Bagley; six brothers: Ernest (Jamie Smith) Dakota of Jasper, IN, Nathan (Leann Auginaush) Hunt of Bagley, Jesse Hunt of Walker, Justin (Angela Potter) Hunt of Cass Lake, MN, Ryan Butcher of Grand Rapids, MN, and Kenny Jackson of Walker; six sisters: Natalie Hunt of Bagley, Cindy (Will) Kingbird of Cass Lake, Kerry Jackson of Cass Lake, Kelly Jackson of Walker, Rose Jackson of Bemidji, and Irie Lyons of Bemidji; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Hunt; two sisters, Tracy Dakota and Lori Jackson; a stillborn child; her grandparents: Leonard and Irene Dakota and James and Phyllis Hunt; and a dear uncle, Eli Hunt.

An all night visitation will be held at the Rice Lake Community Center, Rice Lake, MN, on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at 5pm.
