Vince will always be remembered for his sense of humor, empathy, good work ethic, his love for cooking and love for his family especially his mother, whom he loved dearly. He affectionately called her "Momsie". He did everything he could to help her and she especially liked Vince bringing in her morning coffee with a big smile. He was in a lot of pain but he tried not to show it, he would always try to put a smile on his moms face by dancing for her as he passed her room. Vince was quite the guy and we will miss him dearly.

Vince did all the things young people do as they are growing up, he attended and graduated school, received the Sacraments and later worked construction. He said he liked to work construction as some of the jobs took him out of state & he could enjoy the sights. Once Vince's health began to decline & he was unable to work. He said he missed the camaraderie & adventure. In 2023 Vince had cancer surgery, he beat that. The family all prayed & while in recovery, he told the nurses, "Prayers work wonders, my whole family has been praying for me." We continued to pray for Vince & his whole family but the cancer returned in April 2024, this time it was an aggressive form of lung cancer. He tried so hard to hang on, he wasn't ready to die yet but God decided he had suffered enough and took him home on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 with his family by his side.

The family would like to thank everyone so much for your love and support during this difficult time. A special Thank You to Father Christianson, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Red Lake. In tears we watched him suffer.

We watched him fade away.

Our hearts were almost broken,

He fought so hard to stay.

But when we saw him sleeping.

So peaceful free from pain.

We could not wish him back.

To suffer that again.

It broke our hearts to lose him.

But he did not go alone.

For a part of us went with him.

The day God took Vince home.
