General and bariatric surgery outreach planned for Sanford Park Rapids Clinic

PARK RAPIDS, Minn. – Dr. David Faugno-Fusci and Dr. Michael Joannides are now providing bariatric and general surgery outreach at the Sanford Health Park Rapids Clinic, 110 7th St. West, in Park Rapids, Minn.

Dr. Faugno-Fusci is a general surgeon with fellowship training in bariatric and robotic surgery. He brings expertise in minimally invasive robotic assisted procedures in upper gastrointestinal surgery. He also has specialized training to treat obesity, acid reflux, hiatal hernias, sleeve gastrectomy, roux-en-y gastric bypass and robotic surgery.

Dr. Joannides specializes in general surgery, weight loss surgery and surgical critical care. He offers minimally invasive procedures and has advanced experience in upper gastrointestinal surgery. He also treats acid reflux, hiatal hernias, obesity, sleeve gastrectomy, roux-en-y gastric bypass, robotic surgery, and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty.

Dr. Faugno-Fusci started in Park Rapids on May 31 and Dr. Joannides will begin on June 28. The doctors will share the rotation and be at the Sanford Park Rapids Clinic once per month.
