BEMIDJI - A house has suffered major damage and two firefighters have been treated for minor injuries after a fire broke out on Friday night in Bemidji.
According to a release from the Bemidji Fire Department, at 8:11 p.m. on Friday, May 31, firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire on the 900 block of Irvine Avenue near downtown Bemidji.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-story residential structure with smoke showing from the home's eaves. Firefighters pulled a 1 3/4-inch handline and went into an offensive mode, finding fire in the walls and ceilings throughout the structure. As additional crews arrived on the scene, two more 1 3/4-inch attack lines were pulled and assisted with extinguishment.
