Sanford Health celebrates opening of new Heart and Vascular Center

BEMIDJI - There was a time in Bemidji where the dream of having a full-time cardiologist seemed impossible, let alone an entire department dedicated to cardiovascular care.

But on Thursday Bemidji celebrated just that, as Sanford Health held a grand opening for its new and expanded Heart and Vascular Center.

The expansion has added a third cardiovascular lab, known as a CATH lab, improved patient rooms, an expanded nurses' station and more, all with the goal of increasing patient comfort and convenience.
