Linda Rae Harrison, 53, Niigaanibinaisikwe" which means "Leading Thunderbird Woman" of the Deer Clan began her journey to the spirit world for her home in Cass Lake MN. She was born to Joesph Dick Jr., and Irene Harrison on February 2, 1971 in Duluth MN.

Linda enjoyed beading, bartering for things, telling stories, and teaching the ways of the Ojibwa culture. She loved to laugh and goof around as well as make others laugh!

When she wasn't teaching her culture of acting goofy, she liked to experiment with frybread recipes. Linda enjoyed a trip to the casino from time to time. What truly made her happy though was spending time with her family.

Those greeting Linda in the spirit world are her parents, Joseph Dick Jr., and Irene Kay Harrison, niece; Onawa Dunn, aunt; Cheryl Dunn.

Those she leaves behind are her sons; Erle Norton, Jared Norton, Joesph Norton, and Jordan Norton, daughter; Irene Norton, brothers; Dennis Harrison, Willian Joseph Dick Jr., sisters; Rita Dick and Nakia Dick.

A two-day wake for Linda will begin at 6:00 p.m., Saturday June 1st at the Prescott Center in Cass Lake and continue until 11:00 a.m., Monday morning June 3rd, 2024, when her traditional service will happen. Lindas Spiritual advisor is Mike Needham. Pallbearers for Linda will be Jordan Norton, Jared Norton, Eral Norton, Shyenne Budreau, Ernest Dunn, and Dennis Harrison. Alternate pallbearers are, Shane Dunn, Eldon Dunn, Dusty Fairbanks, and Derek Fairbanks. Honorary pallbearers are Barbara Dick, Jacalyn Dunn, RaeAnne Dunn, Barbara Dunn, Beatrice Dunn, Mona Dunn, and Dora Fairbanks, as well as all her family and friends that loved her. Interment will be immediately after her service at Morgan Cemetery in Oak Point.
