Evelyn was the last surviving member of her family. She was a hard worker, she had to quit school in the 11th grade to help out on the family farm, when all of her brothers were sent off to war. Evelyn had a big heart of gold, she did anything for anyone who needed help, she was a very kind and loving mother. She had 8 kids, three boys and 5 girls. We don’t know how she did it, but she did. Evelyn had lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, she loved to joke with them and visit with them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We couldn’t have asked for a better mother: we were fortunate to have her for 98 years. We love you Mom, rest in peace.

She was a member of the Turtle Mountain Tribe in Rolette County, North Dakota.

Survived by her sons: Albert Antoine Marcil and Gordon Lee Marcil; daughters Rose Alita Tiessen, Delima R. McKay, Barbara A. Marcil and Marion H. Marcil-Moose; 23 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband: Albert Marcil; son: Louis Marcil; daughter: Corrine Marcil; father: Alfred Dubois; mother: Mary Rose Dubois; and all 10 of her siblings.
