Brenda Bailey, 69, of Hugo MN, formerly of Bemidji MN, passed away Thursday May 2nd, 2024 at M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital in Maplewood MN.

Brenda was born September 18, 1954 in Red Lake MN to Maurice (Bud) and Rose Bailey. She grew up in Red Lake and graduated in 1972. She lived in Minneapolis for many years before moving to Bemidji. She worked for Indian Health Service in Bemidji and Cass Lake for many years before moving back to Minneapolis and working for the Veteran's Administration where she would retire from. She enjoyed her retirement on her hobby farm with her companion of 22 years, Jeff. Together they raised goats, chickens, an alpaca and a large pot belly pig. She also had 2 shadows, Noodles and Toodles, her beloved cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie (Cody) Hallik of Bemidji, grandchildren, Kenna and Ryan. Sisters, Donna Kadel of Coon Rapids MN, Beverly Bailey of Bemidji MN, brother, Lyle Bailey of Thief River Falls MN, and special friend Jeff and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Rose Bailey, sisters, Laura Hazeman, Barbara Genrty and Janice Bailey, nephew Scott Bailey and niece Carren Donnell.

A private graveside service in Redby MN is pending.
