Col. Christina Bogojevic sworn in as chief of the Minnesota State Patrol

ST. PAUL — Col. Christina Bogojevic was sworn in as chief of the Minnesota State Patrol at a pinning ceremony Monday afternoon while surrounded by family, friends and State Patrol troopers and employees.

“I’m extremely passionate about the State Patrol’s mission and care deeply about the people who I work with,” said Col. Bogojevic said. “I am honored and humbled to lead our dedicated staff who have the critical job of keeping motorists safe on our roadways. I look forward to the work ahead.”

Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner Bob Jacobson named Bogojevic interim colonel in February 2024, before appointing her to the position permanently a few weeks later.

“Col. Bogojevic is the right person, at the right time for this leadership role,” Commissioner Jacobson said. “She brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and dedication and will proudly lead the State Patrol into the future while building upon the strong foundation already in place.”

Bogojevic joined the State Patrol in 2003. Prior to serving as colonel, she served as lieutenant colonel, captain of the Rochester district, mobile response commander, lieutenant in the Commercial Vehicle section, investigator, recruiter and crash reconstruction specialist.
