Appointments required

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji Rotary Club and Sanford Health will host a blood screening event from 7-10 a.m. Wednesday-Friday, May 15-17, in the Education Center at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, 1300 Anne St. NW. Participants should use the east entrance.

With a simple blood test participants can discover a wealth of information regarding their health including the diagnosis and possible treatment of many diseases.

The comprehensive screening is $35 and includes screenings for: cholesterol (blood lipids), triglyceride (blood fats), high-density lipoproteins (HDL), low-density lipoproteins (LDL), glucose (blood sugar), creatinine, hemoglobin, white blood cell count and liver (ALT).

An appointment is required to participate in the screening. To schedule an appointment, call (218) 333-2277.

Fasting is not a requirement. Participants will receive an official report from Sanford Laboratories with results compared to a reference range, either through My Sanford Chart or by mail. A follow up with your primary care clinician regarding any results that fall outside the reference range is recommeded.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Bemidji Police Department’s K9 program. For more information, visit https://www.sanfordhealth.org/classes-and-events/bemidji-blood-screening.
