Hillary Porter to offer interventional pain management at Sanford Park Rapids Clinic

PARK RAPIDS, Minn. – Hillary Porter, FNP, APRN, CNP, will begin offering care for interventional pain management starting in April at the Sanford Health Park Rapids Clinic, 110 7th St. West, in Park Rapids, Minn.

Porter specializes in interventional pain management with an emphasis on using non-opioid techniques involving nerve blocks, injections, radio-frequency ablation and spinal cord stimulation as well as coordinating care with other disciplines including physical therapy, chiropractic care, water therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dietary audit and sleep medicine.

She offers management techniques for back and neck pain, joint pain, and cancer-related pain. Services with pain management include:

• Obtaining a patient's medical history

• Performing physical exams

• Ordering, performing and interpreting lab and diagnostic tests

• Ordering injections and conservative treatment options

• Helping patients better understand their pain

Porter will begin accepting patients on April 17 and will be at the Park Rapids Clinic on the third Wednesday of each month. No referral is necessary. To schedule an appointment, call the Sanford Health Park Rapids Clinic at (218) 699-3121.
