Delores Benais Fineday "Muckoonz" (Baby Bear), age 78, died on Monday, March 11, 2024 at her home in Pennington. She was born on May 22, 1945 in Redby, Minnesota to Albert Benais Sr and Sally Gibbs. On September 14, 1964, she married James Fineday in Bemidji, Minnesota. They lived in Cass River, Minnesota.

She liked puzzles, movies, rides in woods, TV, scenery, Christmas lights, word find puzzle books, collecting jewelry, thrift shops, picking veggies, berry picking, cookies, baking and fry bread!

Delores is survived by daughters Jacqueline Charwood of Cass River MN, Deborah Fisher (Brian White Sr) of Cass Lake MN, Samantha Fineday of Bemidji MN; son Myron Fineday of Cass River MN; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Jean Benais, Shirley Benais and Karen Benais, all of Red Lake MN; and special nieces Tina Roybal and Shannon Lussier (Amelia Guevera).

She was preceded in death by her mother Sally Gibbs; father Albert Benais Sr; husband James; two daughters, Janice and Patti; two sons, Greg and James; brothers Oliver "Jimmy" Gibbs and Myron Gibbs; sisters Annie Fineday, Angeline Cutbank, June Lussier and granddaughter Meranda Fineday.

The wake will begin on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 4:00 PM and continue until the service on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Pennington Community Center with Jeff Oakgrove officiating. Active Casketbearers will be Brandin Fineday, David J. Fineday, Matthew Bryan, Robert Fisher, Gerald Hurd Jr, Frank Sam, James Lussier, Hector Torrez, Andrew Fineday and George Fineday Jr. Honorary Casketbearers will be all grandchildren, family and friends. Burial will be at the Fineday Cemetery.
