Ella Mae (Couture) Netland

Born June 1, 1949 to David and Catherine (Church) Couture. She passed away peacefully February 1, 2024 at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN after a brief illness.

Ella is proceeded in death by her parents, siblings, and many other family members.

She is survived by her daughters Terri Redding (Shaun Naalsund), Gidget Netland and Kim Seacord, her granddaughters Noel Redding (Derek Rengo), Taylor Netland and Brooke Seacord, her great-grandson Ryker Rengo and step-grandson Ryan Naalsund. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, especially her favorite cousin Sharon Shuck and her furbabies & grand furbabies.

Ella grew up in Brookston, MN. She was a proud member of Fond du Lac Band. Ella retired from Potlach after 30+ years.

Ella loved her daughters, granddaughters and great-grandson. She was very involved in their lives.

Over the years, Ella had many hobbies that she would do but she most enjoyed watching her granddaughters play sports. She was active in the FDL historical society.

Ella was always there for her daughters and granddaughters for whatever they were going through in life. She was very proud of her great-grandson Ryker who brought joy to her.

A special thank you to the staff at Essentia Health and Dr Z aka Snoop Dogg who cared for Ella.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, February 9, 2024 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at Fond du Lac Cultural Center, 1713 Aannimikii Rd, Cloquet, MN 55720. All are encouraged to come celebrate Ella's life, share a meal (from 1 - 2pm), memories and stories. Spring burial in Indian Hill Cemetery, Brookston, MN, at a later date.
