FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM

OPEN: February 1, 2024

CLOSING: February 23, 2024 @ 12:00 p.m.

Primary Function:

Receives, stores, and distributes food products within the Food Distribution Program. Reports to Food Distribution Director, this position has no supervisory responsibilities, salary; DOQ.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

• Read delivery schedules, work and shipping order(s) for Food Distribution and determines items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

• Convoys food items and materials from receiving area to storage or other designated areas.

• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type of product.

• Arranges stock in specific sequence for distribution.

• Fills requisition work orders and distributes on assembly line.

• Marks materials with identifying information.

• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

• Records amount of food items received or distributed; keeping current stock of inventory

• Weights or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance with policy and procedures

• Drives forklift to transport stored items within the warehouse.

• Keeps facility clean and orderly at all times.

• Maintains daily logs on coolers, freezers, and cleaning schedule.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Work Experience/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Possess excellent verbal and communications skills.

• Possess ability to work independently without close supervision.

• Knowledgeable in safe use of forklift, stacking pallets and food products.

• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
