Nathan "Nate" Daniel Jackson, Sr., of Cass Lake, MN began his journey on Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was born October 29th, 1977, in Park Rapids, MN to Roger Monroe and Debra Jackson. Nate grew up in Deer River, MN until 6th grade when he moved to Onigum, MN.

Nate attended and graduated from Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School where he enjoyed playing sports. After graduating high school, he went to Tech School and graduated with his Electrician license.

Nate enjoyed crusin' around in his cool cars listening to loud music. Everyone would say, "you can hear him coming before you see him." He loved to wear his Jordans and ball caps. He enjoyed coloring with his sister in adult coloring books. He loved to hang out with his family and friends, as well as playing basketball. He loved his children and did everything for them.

Those greeting Nathan in the spirit world are his grandparents, Roseanne Jackson, Fred Jackson, Sr., and Isabelle Monroe; sister, Sheena Michaud; nephew, Taledray Michaud; cousins, Tim Jackson, Roseanne Jackson, Michael Jackson, and Randy Jackson.

Those Nate leaves behind to cherish his memory are his mom, Debra Jackson; sons, Nathan Jackson, Jr., Dominic Jackson, Zachary Jackson, and Keegan Jackson; daughter, McKenzie Jackson; brothers, David Michaud, Sr. and Christopher Michaud, Sr .; sisters, Stephanie Michaud and Jessica Michaud.

A two-day wake for Nathan will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024, and continue until his 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday, January 27, 2024, all to be held at the Onigum Community Center in Onigum, MN. Nate's Spiritual Advisor will be Allen Hardy. Pallbearers for Nate will be David Michaud, Sr., Christopher Michaud, Sr., Charlie Jackson, Conan Jackson, Boomer Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Freddy Jackson, and Curtis Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessica Michaud, Stephanie Michaud, Kerry Jackson, Kelly Jackson, Christine Jackson, Cindy Jackson, Candice Jackson, and Patrick Jackson. Nate will be laid to rest at the Onigum Catholic Cemetery immediately follow his service.
