SLOT TECHNICIAN I

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Slot Supervisor and/or Slot Manager, the Slot Tech I is responsible for monitoring the casino floor and ensuring all slot machines are secured and in good working order. Performs payouts, ticket fills and general maintenance on gaming machines and other job duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors casino floor constantly, assists guests with all minor machine problems, machine payouts and machine ticket fills. Offers to bring beverages to Guests, this does not include alcoholic beverages.

• Protects casino assets by observing floor activity and reporting suspicious activity or procedural irregularities to the Casino/Slot Supervisor or Slot Shift Manager.

• Provides customer service and support by maintaining high visibility on the floor, proactively initiating and building rapport with slot customers, explaining the various slot games, game rules, and payout schedules to our guests.

• Replenishes thermal TITO paper, fixing printer jams, and bill acceptor malfunctions.

• Pays winners by promptly responding to winning customers, obtains proper identification, processes jackpot/hand pay paperwork accurately, paying the customer, and assisting with Title 31 transaction requirements following established procedures.

• Performs preventative maintenance on gaming machines.

• Assists with the moving, installation, conversion, removal and/or upgrade of gaming machines.

• Assists guests on how to use the Player's Club card in the slot machine, and explains how they earn points and how to download their promotional dollars.

• Provides guests with current information on all promotions and casino events.

• Responsible for gaming keys issued to them during their assigned shift.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position.

• Maintains strict confidentiality of patrons, employees, management records and concerns within the Casino.

• Understanding and following proper procedures for radio usage.

• Assists with soft count during drop as requested.

• Has a fundamental understanding of the Player tracking system and its components.

• Assists, mentors and trains new Slot techs.

• Attends Mandatory Trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 18 years of age with High School or GED.
