Darrell Kingbird to present at Beltrami County History Center

BEMIDJI — The Beltrami County History Center will host "Kingbird Singers" member Darrell Kingbird as part of its Brown Bag History program series at noon on Thursday, Jan. 18, at the history center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW.

Kingbird is a spiritual leader, drummer, singer and announcer from Ponemah. During the presentation, he will share his lifelong expertise and passion for sharing and performing Ojibwe music, a release said.

The history center welcomes Kingbird as its first speaker in the 2024 theme "Keeping Time: Beltrami County's Music History."

This program is free and no reservation is required, but seats are limited.
