Pow Wow on Parade Participates in 2024 Rose Paeade.

POW WOW ON PARADE an Indigenous organization supporting Native rights and lobbies for Native causes has participated in the 2024 Rose Paeade. Cheryl"Renee" Roybal an organ recepient, was the main inspiration for the float this year.

Renee has received a heart and kidney transplant and inspired the Float, "Woven Together,'The Dance of Life.' " Renee went on to say, "if it wasn't for Pow Wow on Parade and their fund raising efforts and media outreach I might not have made it." The theme of the this years parade was, "Celebrating the world of music.The worlds universal language."

Peter Roybal CEO of Pow Wow on Parade and nephew of Renee was on hand to bless the float before and after the parade as custom to Bless and Protect.

Pow Wow on Parade is a supporter of many Native causes-AB 1703 Native American Education Act with Assemblyman James Ramos, {Serrano/Cahuilla) of San Bernardino, CA. Pow Wow was on hand to commemorate the first Native American Memorial, a statue of William "Bill" Franklin of the Miwok Rancheria Tribe in the state Capitol-Sacramento. Indigenous Day in Los Angeles with Councilman MItch O'farrell (Wyandotte) and subject matter expert for the New Mexico Historical Society. Peter is Principal-lead for the Indian Education Task Force for Pasadena Unified School District and was expert witness in the US Mining Co. v. Apache Stronghold with Wendsler Nosy Ph.d.

Peter uses his political influence to initiate the discussion and eventual action for the betterment of Natives Nationally.

Next year, Pow Wow On Parade is slated to have their own float in the Parade as a Pow Wow to for the people with a coalition of Nations to promote that Natives are relevant in the National discussion of the true minority rights of America.
